Abstract: Sensitivity of Urginea indica Kunth Cytotype I to Ethyl Methane Sulphonate (EMS) was examined by considering the epidermal parameters such as stomatal index and stomatal size. Bulbs of Urginea indica Kunth were treated with five different concentrations of Ethyl Methane Sulphonate (EMS) and were planted to raise M1 and M2 generations. The selected parameters were compared with those of control. Significant variations were observed with respect to all the parameters in both M1 and M2 generations. The result thus showed the effectiveness of Ethyl Methane Sulphonate to induce genetic variability in Urginea indica Kunth Cytotype I
