Abstract: This paper examines the patterns of mental health service utilization during economic recessions. The impact of economic downturns on mental health has been widely studied, but there is less research on how individuals utilize mental health services during these times. By investigating the trends in service utilization, this study aims to provide insights into the barriers and facilitators that individuals face in accessing mental health care during economic crises. A qualitative analysis of existing literature and data will help us understand the implications for policy and practice in supporting mental health services during recessions.
