Abstract: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a widespread health issue that affects a significant portion of the global population. Understanding the demographic predictors of CKD is crucial for identifying high-risk populations and implementing targeted prevention and treatment strategies. This essay investigates the demographic predictors of CKD in population-based studies, focusing on factors such as age, gender, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and comorbidities. The methodology involves a review of existing literature from reputable journals to analyze the relationship between demographic variables and CKD prevalence. The discussion highlights the importance of early detection and management of CKD in high-risk populations to reduce the burden of kidney disease on healthcare systems. In conclusion, addressing demographic predictors of CKD through targeted interventions is essential for improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare disparities.
