Abstract: Maternal and child health in low-income neighborhoods is influenced by a variety of social determinants that can impact outcomes for both mothers and children. This essay investigates the impact of social determinants on maternal and child health in low-income neighborhoods, focusing on factors such as poverty, education, access to healthcare, and social support. Through an analysis of current research and data, this essay explores how these social determinants can affect the health and well-being of mothers and children in low-income neighborhoods and discusses potential strategies for addressing these issues.
