Abstract: This paper focuses on the importance of feasibility studies in determining the economic viability of hydropower projects. It discusses key cost factors that impact the success of these projects, including development, construction, operation, and maintenance costs. The research used literature review, case studies, and financial modeling to analyze cost drivers and their effects on project profitability. It also provides cost management strategies to improve decision making in the hydropower sector.
