Abstract: This qualitative study explores the challenges and adaptations faced by pharmacy technicians during the COVID-19 pandemic in a large tertiary hospital. Through semi-structured interviews with 20 pharmacy technicians, the study identifies key adaptations in workflow, the implementation of safety measures, and the impact on patient care. Pharmacy technicians reported an increased workload, expanded roles, and significant changes to pharmacy operations to ensure safety and continuity of care. Despite challenges, including PPE shortages and the need for enhanced communication with patients, pharmacy technicians demonstrated resilience and adaptability. The findings highlight the importance of ongoing training, resource management, and digital tools in supporting pharmacy technicians during public health crises.
