Abstract: Palliative care and end-of-life support are essential for patients with advanced cancer. This paper explores the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in enhancing these services. A literature review identified the complex challenges faced by advanced cancer patients and the effectiveness of palliative care in addressing them. However, lack of integration between healthcare disciplines often hinders access to palliative care. Multidisciplinary collaboration, involving professionals from various specialties working together to develop personalized care plans, was found to be a key strategy for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Successful multidisciplinary palliative care interventions were described, along with the importance of social support in promoting well-being and resilience. Multidisciplinary collaboration is crucial for delivering high-quality palliative care and end-of-life support to advanced cancer patients. Ongoing research, education, and advocacy efforts are needed to promote best practices, build interprofessional competencies, and ensure access to comprehensive palliative care services for all patients with advanced cancer.
