Abstract: This qualitative study explores the perceived impact of continuing education on the professional development of laboratory specialists in a tertiary hospital setting. Semi-structured interviews with 15 participants revealed four key themes: improvement of technical skills and knowledge, career advancement, challenges in applying new knowledge, and personal and job satisfaction. Participants reported that continuing education enhanced their technical abilities and opened up career opportunities, but they also faced institutional barriers in implementing new skills. The findings highlight the need for stronger institutional support and a culture of innovation to maximize the benefits of continuing education for laboratory specialists.
