Abstract: This qualitative study explores the role of interprofessional collaboration between laboratory specialists and clinicians in improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes in a tertiary hospital setting. In-depth interviews with 20 participants, including laboratory specialists and clinicians, revealed four key themes: communication and information sharing, challenges to collaboration, impact on diagnostic accuracy, and improving patient outcomes through teamwork. While effective collaboration enhances diagnostic accuracy and patient care, barriers such as time constraints and professional silos hinder optimal communication. The findings highlight the need for improved communication channels, cross-disciplinary training, and institutional support to foster collaboration and improve healthcare outcomes.
