Abstract: This study identifies key factors causing delays in bridge construction projects on the Mugling to Dharke section of the Prithvi Highway in Nepal, leading to significant cost and time overruns for developers and contractors. The research combines a literature review and a questionnaire survey of construction professionals, revealing thirty-eight common causes of delay. Key factors include design changes, unforeseen site conditions, regulatory issues, and inadequate project management practices, all of which contribute to increased project costs and reduced public satisfaction.
