Abstract: Telemedicine is a rapidly growing field in healthcare that has the potential to revolutionize the way respiratory therapy is delivered. This paper explores the opportunities and challenges of integrating telemedicine into respiratory therapy practice. Through a review of the current literature, this paper highlights the benefits of telemedicine in improving patient access to respiratory care, increasing efficiency in delivering services, and reducing healthcare costs. However, challenges such as technological limitations, regulatory barriers, and patient acceptance need to be addressed to fully realize the potential of telemedicine in respiratory therapy. Recommendations for overcoming these challenges are discussed, along with the conclusion that telemedicine has the potential to enhance the quality of respiratory therapy care and improve patient outcomes.
