Abstract: At the same time, however, climate change is having enormous impacts on the construction industry in terms of impacting on sea levels, extreme weather events, increased temperature fluctuations, and altered precipitation patterns. Changes in the environment require that building designs, materials, and practices change so as to offset the risks and promote sustainability. This paper explores the effects of climate change on construction and looks at how the industry is adapting to take on those challenges. A systematic examination is made of key strategies including green building, resilient infrastructure design, sustainable materials, and technology integration within an evolving regulatory landscape. Through this, the analysis highlights not only the cluthering role that they can play in mitigating climate change to the construction industry as they change to more sustainable and more resilient building practices, but also the adaptation to the change.
