Abstract: Vision health is an essential aspect of public health that often goes overlooked. Screening programs for eye diseases and visual impairment play a crucial role in early detection and treatment, thus preventing long-term complications and improving quality of life. This essay explores the importance of vision health in public health, the methods used in screening programs, the findings from these programs, and the limitations and recommendations for future initiatives. By addressing these key aspects, this essay aims to shed light on the significance of vision health in overall public health promotion.
