Abstract: Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis are life-threatening emergencies requiring rapid, coordinated care in emergency departments (EDs). This study explores the roles of paramedics, pharmacists, and laboratory specialists in managing these emergencies at a tertiary hospital ED, using a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data from 150 patient records and qualitative interviews with 15 healthcare professionals provided insights into the effectiveness of multidisciplinary collaboration. Findings highlighted the significant contributions of paramedics in administering epinephrine, pharmacists in optimizing medication management, and laboratory specialists in confirming diagnoses. Communication and role clarity were key themes in enhancing patient outcomes. The study emphasizes the need for ongoing training, improved communication, and clear role definitions to optimize multidisciplinary care for anaphylaxis.
