Abstract: This study explores the collaboration between paramedics and pharmacists in optimizing pre-hospital medication administration within a tertiary hospital setting. A mixed-methods approach was used to assess current practices, identify barriers and facilitators, and evaluate the impact of pharmacist involvement. Quantitative findings indicated increased confidence in medication administration and perceived benefits of pharmacist involvement. Qualitative findings highlighted the benefits of improved medication safety, enhanced training, and reduced medication errors. However, challenges such as communication barriers and logistical constraints were identified. The study concludes that pharmacist-paramedic collaboration has the potential to significantly enhance medication safety and efficacy, provided that communication and resource challenges are addressed.
