Abstract: Digital forensics is vital in modern investigations, encompassing law enforcement, corporate compliance, and cybersecurity. However, ethical dilemmas in this field, such as privacy invasion, evidence mishandling, and jurisdictional conflicts, pose significant challenges. This paper explores these ethical concerns in-depth and highlights the principles and frameworks needed to address them. Emphasis is placed on maintaining the integrity of evidence, safeguarding privacy, ensuring legal compliance, and upholding impartiality. Additionally, this work discusses future trends, such as artificial intelligence (AI) in digital forensics, and the emerging ethical issues they present.
