Abstract: The integration of handheld Zebra devices into fuel dispensing applications presents unique challenges when ensuring cross-device compatibility. This paper addresses the issue faced by field supervisors who, due to ergonomic concerns, shifted from using 8-inch Zebra devices to 4.7-inch devices, resulting in screen rendering issues and functionality discrepancies in the fuel dispensing application. The business need to adapt the application for both device sizes led to a comprehensive solution that involved redesigning and testing the application for compatibility across the two device types. Additionally, automation scripts for regression testing were developed to ensure consistent performance and functionality for both devices. This paper outlines the steps taken to address the issue, the challenges encountered during the project, and the testing strategies implemented from a Business Analyst and QA lead perspective.
